Kellia porculus Pilsbry, 1904, is recorded for the first time in the Russian waters of the Sea of Japan along the coast of Primorye (Valentin, Olga, Rynda bays and Tatarsky Strait). An updated description, photographs, synonymy, data on biology and distribution are provided. Taxonomic comments on seven other north-western Pacific species of Kellia Turton, 1822 are given, along with illustrations of type material, for K. japonica Pilsbry, 1895, K. laperousii (Deshayes, 1839), K. subrotunda (Dunker, 1882), K. comandorica Scarlato, 1981, and K. grebnitzskii (Dall, 1916). K. subrotunda is confirmed as a distinct species and it is recorded in China (Yellow Sea) for the first time previously being known only from Japan. K. grebnitzskii is regarded as a valid species and reinstated as such for Russian waters.
Recently the phylogeny of the order Neogastropoda based on exon-capture [Fedosov et al., 2026], has confirmed the monophyly of the group and achieved high resolution for many deep nodes. Thorough examination of the sequenced species frequently revealed novel and distinctive morphological characters, and in several cases highlighted unresolved taxonomic issues. Some sequenced species proved to be new to science, while others required reassessment of their generic or familial placement in light of the phylogenetic results. The anatomy of the anterior foregut of Enigmavasidae is described herein for the first time. A new species, Egestas caledoniensis (Costellariidae), is described from northern New Caledonia, representing the second known species of the genus. The anatomy and radula of Jaspidella jaspidea (Olividae) are described for the first time, and it is suggested that the species may warrant recognition as a distinct subfamily. The unique radular anatomy of Cyllene (Cylennidae) is described and illustrated in details for the first time, with the hypothesis that the teeth may function in toxin delivery. Lachesiella, a new genus of Columbellidae, is characterized by an unusual protoconch morphology and includes two new species: Lachesiella kunie and Lachesiella apiceconica. Atlantamanaria, a new genus of Eosiphonidae from the Caribbean is described, it closely resembles Manaria but is clearly distinct based on molecular data. Two new species of Gaillea (Eosiphonidae) are described from Guadeloupe. Finally, Aforia bugeae (Cochlespiridae) is described as a new species from Papua New Guinea, marking the first record of the genus in this region.
